Should you buy a used laptop?

For most of people, choosing a laptop or a desktop computer is the result of a continuous research which implies a perfect and close observation of all the composed elements.  Many people consider that laptops are quite expensive comparing them to desktop computers and even if they would like a laptop for the mobility it implies, most of them prefer to take one with second hand components or, to take a complete second hand laptop. It is true that the prices are smaller compared to a new laptop but the performance has some minuses also.
So it is that buying a used laptop has lots of disadvantages. One of the main disadvantages would go to the fact that the battery might be overused and not properly used, fact that would implicitly determine a smaller battery life compared to the one of a new laptop. Taking into account the fact that battery is a very important element when talking about laptops, a small life of the battery will automatically generate a poor  mobility and a poor use of all the benefits that a laptop presents.
Moreso, when buying a used laptop there are lots of things that could happen with the component parts. For instance, a friend of mine bought a secondhand laptop two months. He chose Hp because it fitted best his needs for communication and entertainment. The laptop had a very good configuration which allowed the good development of all the projects he needed to do, until the moment the memory crashed. He took the laptop to the service specified in the warranty certificate and was amazed to find out that the laptop had all the interior components changed. The model of the virtual memory did not correspond to the one that model should normally have and, of course, the processor was changed. Changing parts of the internal pieces is definitely not recommended for a laptop because everything will definitely crash sooner or later. Apart from desktop computers, laptops are best with fabrics components. They are chosen in order to fit a certain requirement and the changing of them could make some other components lose interconnection. This is one of the risks you might confront with when buying a used laptop and that is why you must be very careful. You could even ask for a detailed list of the components inside in order to know if the laptop has everything originally kept from fabrics or components were changed during years.
Taking everything into account, it can be said that buying a used laptop is definitely not a solution. Not even in the case of not disposing of the necessary amount of money in order to buy a new laptop. If you do not have the money to buy a laptop, it is better to buy a new desktop computer which you know for sure that has not been damaged.
